Day Number 3

It was too good I almost forgot to take a picture
So Its day number Three and I think I enjoy blocking out and prepping all my meals for the day! Today I used the left over chicken to make my meals and I am excited to eat my Paleo Chili! Today I tried to be better about eating intervals and I think I did alright i would like to do better though!! I ate at 6:20, 9:00, 12:00, 3:30 and 7:15ish. Below is my breakfast an omelette with spinach, onion avocado and salsa.  my snacks were broccoli, half an apple, and almonds. My lunch was a spinach salad and almonds. Dinner Paleo Chili, cauliflower, eggplant with tomato sauce and some avocado! I think its going well and after talking with Steve today I think I am going to focus more on the Paleo aspect and tweak the Zone to fit me a little better so less carbs throughout the day and loading up on them a little more at night after my workout and not necessarily stressing over exact proportions as long as I am close to my 14 block zone schedule!  and now its on to tomorrow in my Paleo Adventure!

Ready Set Scatter!

So today (Tuesday) was my last day of house sitting and I had no food ready for my daily meals!!  I woke up extra early to go to the Store and buy food to get it all ready! Turns out most of the grocery stores don't open until like 9:30 I found a salad at a gas station that had no dressing and ate that with some beef for breakfast. Then went to the store during my class break. I got a chicken breast some watermelon, a plum. I had some asparagus and cucumber i found before i left and had a lunch and snack of chicken, watermelon, asparagus, and then salami, plum and cucumber. It wasnt the best but it made due until dinner when I made some chicken which was bomb! I made it with onion Jalapenos and lime juice see below and i ate that with watermelon broccoli and almonds. I proportioned the chicken into 2 4 block meals 2, 3 block meals and 2, 2 block meals. and prepped all my food for tomorrow to end the day after I went on a shopping binge and made some paleo chili got my stuff ready to make some beef skewers and I am excited to try out some new recipes! Good luck to everyone else on the Paleo Challenge!

Preparation for the Paleo Adventure

So I was planning on posting all of this yesterday but my internet was down. So here it is now. The hardest part of this paleo challenge for me is Trying to do it Zone while I am out and about all day everyday due to school and work. So with a little inspiration from the Tupperware Man I've got it all figured out!!  I use these nifty trays and this cooler and carry it around all day!! After getting it all ready though I am interested in finding out how the actual proportions work out sometimes it seems like so much food and other times it seem like hardly any!

Today marks my First day of my Zone Paleo diet! and I would say I think it went pretty well. I was hungry for a bit but that was because I missed my first Snack. Also I felt a little tired today which I feel is due to me adapting and adjusting to this new plan which is mainly a lot more fruit and vegetables. so my eating schedule is a 3 block breakfast, 2 block snack 3 block Lunch, 2 block snack and a 4 block dinner.  I ate an omlette with spinach, onions and salsa along with almonds and 2 sausage links for breakfast. lunch was turkey breast, a  head of lettuce and almonds. my snack was salami and broccoli and half a pear.  Dinner was chicken, asparagus salad and almonds.  Im worried for tomorrow as I am house sitting and havent had time to get food. I am going to go to the store early tomorrow and try and get my meals all ready for tomorrow!  so ill let you know how it goes. Im excited for this challenge and hope to See some awesome gains and an overall healthier self!!! Until tomorrow!

And so it begins

So I decided to create a blog to chronicle my experiences as I progress through my CrossFit training. Currently the CrossFit gym I attend is training for a few things: Fight Gone Bad 5 a fundraiser workout that benefits The Wounded Warrior Project, LiveSTRONG, and the CrossFit Foundation, we also made 2 Vaulkslauf Teams which is a 10k obstacle course race, and soon we will be starting an eating challenge.  In addition to posting my CrossFit activities I plan to discuss interesting articles and information that is fitness related as I come across it. And so here is my blog!
